ICEBAR – Stockholm, Sweden

I absolutely adore traveling and the rush of experiencing new things! I cannot wait to set off on another adventure once it’s safe to do so. Speaking of which, I recently reminisced about visiting the ICEBAR in Stockholm – one of my all-time favorite experiences!

In general, Sweden has an outstanding public transportation system! My friends and I had a blast hopping on the Stockholm Public Transport system, and finding the hotel (which housed the ice bar) was super easy thanks to the helpful map conveniently located at the station. Plus, if you ever need assistance, there are friendly station attendants who are more than happy to lend a hand. I can confidently say that most Swedes are happy to assist when approached with kindness.

As you enter Hotel C Stockholm, you’ll notice some signs directing you down a hallway to the bar’s entrance. Don’t worry, they’ve got you covered with coats and gloves, but I suggest layering up for the full experience! Everything inside is made of ice and it’s truly a sight to see! I have to admit, I was pretty chilly and didn’t even sit on the Game of Thrones-style ice chair. However, I did manage to snap a few great photos! The bar served me one of my top 3 favorite drinks ever – a delicious concoction of vodka and elderberry syrup. I had an absolute blast and it was an unforgettable experience. If you’re planning a trip to Stockholm, I highly recommend visiting the ICEBAR. It’s a unique and exciting adventure that you won’t want to miss. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Have you been to the ICEBAR or are you planning to go? Let me know – I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  5. I have never been to Stockholm but when I was living in London there used to be an Icebar very similar to this one. I went there once and I loved the experience! Let’s hope we can travel safe soon…

  6. You know Sweden was the first country I visited – way back in 1983! And still remains my favourite 🤩

Last year I traveled all through the year – 5 continents 😇 and am happy at home just now.
